Torch Safe System

This specially-developed warm roof system uses a self-adhesive vapour control layer which can be safely and securely bonded to any roof deck without the use of a torch. Thermal insulation is then bonded to the VCL, followed by a polymer modified, self-adhesive underlay and a choice of high performance torch-on cap sheets. A specially developed graphite coating is also incorporated in to our high performance cap sheets to provide the ultimate in fire prevention technology.

PERIMETER ZONE SAFETY

A key benefit of BÖRNER’s Torch Safe System is completely flame-free detailing in all high-risk areas such as perimeter zones and roof penetrations. Here, the roofing membranes can be safely installed close to combustible materials such as timber upstands or other cladding and pitched roof products which might easily ignite. In perimeter zone areas, the Torch Safe system incorporates a self-adhesive VCL, underlay and specially modified cap sheet to deliver a total ‘cold-applied’ solution. Only Hot air welding is required during installation, completely eradicating the use of naked flames on the roof detailing areas.
